Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician (dairy department) 

Location: Severnside

Contract Type: Permanent, 4 on 4 off shift pattern (7 AM - 7 PM, 2 days / 2 nights, 4 off)

Role Overview: As a Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician, your primary responsibility is to provide high-quality scheduled and reactive maintenance across the site. You will actively identify root causes of issues and restore equipment to service promptly, while also seeking and implementing cost-effective improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of site assets and equipment.

We are recruiting for an Engineering Technician to join us within our Severnside Dairy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proficiently interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
• Utilize advanced electrical skills for fault finding and remediation, with strong electrical skills equivalent to HNC level and sound mechanical skills for diagnosis and replacement.
• Diligently complete all maintenance tasks, including PM, CBM, CI, and corrective actions. Contribute to FMEA activities as needed.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance site operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship.
• Preferred: HNC in Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering with additional electrical qualifications or competence.
• Strong background in the FMCG industry, preferably within food or drink manufacturing.
• Proven experience in maintenance within the manufacturing industry.
• Advantageous: Experience with CI tools and techniques in automation.
• Desirable: ONC/HNC, IOSH/NEBOSH certifications.

Shift Details: This role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating between days and nights (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off).
