We are currently recruiting for a Business Intelligence Analyst. We are looking for an experienced individual to provide a clear understanding of the Yogurt & Desserts market and retailer performance within Muller and key Private Label retail customers. Analyse and present actionable data from a variety of internal and external sources in a timely and proactive manner to enable accelerated and improved decision-making across the Müller UK group of companies.

 

In this role the key responsibilities for a Business Intelligence Analyst will include:
• Produce regular reports to an agreed schedule. These will include, but not be restricted to: -
➢ Standardised market reports - Nielsen/Kantar/IRI, including
1. Newsflash reports
2. Exec category presentations
3. Retailer specific dashboards and reports
• Create and maintain a system whereby all competitive intelligence is 'filed' and disseminated effectively to the business
• On-going analysis of the performance within the UK CYPD market
• Provide a clear understanding of Private Label market performance
• Identify opportunities for Muller and private Label customers
• Review competitor NPD performance in market for private Label
• Support Category teams in Range reviews and audits
• Work with the Business Intelligence Controller to provide input and guidance into the 3-year planning process in terms of market performance and drivers, and work to develop tools to help forecast market growth and market share
• Supporting CCM, Marketing and Commercial teams on ad hoc market data requests - providing insights and recommendations as appropriate.
• Ensure databases supplied by external agencies are accurate, with products, especially new products, coded correctly.
• Develop 'super user' status for Nielsen/Kantar/IRI
• Expand knowledge of retail systems - Aimia, Dunnhumby, Retail Link when required for role
• Pass on knowledge as required. The category team will remain the main users of retail data systems

 

Key skills & experience for Business Intelligence Analyst: -
• Degree or equivalent or predicted to achieve a 2:1 or above
• Leadership - ability to shape, align and plan
• Ability to create and embrace change
• Collaboration - ability to collaborate both within the BI team and across departments in the different business units
• Excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills.
• Panel data manipulation (Nielsen/Kantar/IRI) with the aim of becoming 'super users' within 6 months
• Knowledge and use of retailer systems (with training) - Aimia, Dunnhumby, Retail Link
• Ability to consolidate data and 'join the dots' from multiple data sources
• Strong analytical mindset and logical
• Ability to put forward recommendations and 'so what's' based on the data
• Team player (plays for the team result)
• Flexible and resilient

 

Knowledge
• Commercial awareness and interest
• Muller category, brand and PL plans

 

Experience
• Graduate with a proven ability to manipulate data. and make recommendations based on data
