Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician
Location: Bridgwater
Contract Type: Permanent, 4 on 4 off (7 AM - 7 PM, 2 days / 2 nights)
Role Overview: As a Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch scheduled and reactive maintenance across the site. Your role involves swiftly diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime, while also identifying and implementing cost-effective improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of site assets and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficiently interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
- Utilize basic automation skills for fault finding and remediation, with strong electrical skills equivalent to HNC level and sound mechanical skills for diagnosis and replacement.
- Diligently complete all maintenance tasks, including PM, CBM, CI, and corrective actions. Contribute to FMEA activities as needed.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance site operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship.
- Preferred: HNC in Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering with additional electrical qualifications or competence.
- Advantageous: Experience with CI tools and techniques in automation.
- Proven experience in maintenance within the manufacturing industry.
- Desirable: ONC/HNC, IOSH/NEBOSH certifications.
Shift Details: This role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating between days and nights (2 days, 2 nights).
