Lead Engineer / Senior Engineer 

Bridgwater

4 on 4 off shift pattern covering days and nights

 

Senior Engineer / Lead Engineer Purpose: 

Due to an internal promotion we’re now recruiting for a Senior Engineer (known internally as Lead Engineer) to join us at Bridgwater to further develop and improve our engineering function. Supporting our Shift leads, acting as out of hours point of contact for the site. Ensuring that work schedules are met and any issues escalated in line with site procedures. To act as lead for engineers in regard to work prioritisation and absence.

 

Responsibilities of a Senior Engineer / Lead Engineer:

  • Engineering activities as defined by planner and team leader.
  • Ensure team compliance to CMMs and maintenance plan.
  • Reprioritise work orders in line with prevailing shift performance
  • To escalate in line site procedures any none conformance or significant breakdown/failure and act as engineering point of contact.
  • Ensure compliance to engineering standards in workshop and ancillary areas.
  • Encourage continuous improvement culture within the department and identify improvement projects in line with the Muller Excellence framework.
  • Shift Handovers completed.

 

Skills and experience:

  • Experienced multi skilled engineering technician
  • Use of CMMS
  • PTW and contractor control
  • LOTO
  • Root cause analysis
  • 5s 
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work without supervision
