Technical Support Officer

We are seeking a Technical Support Officer to join our Müller Milk and Ingredients business on a 12 month fixed term basis. This role involves providing technical support services to improve standards, drive quality, and enhance cost efficiency within our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dairy science and processing, with a commitment to continuous improvement and problem-solving.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support and lead initiatives to drive quality and cost improvements using tools like Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, and Lean techniques.
• Monitor and evaluate advances in cleaning practices (CIP and COP) and deliver hygienic improvements.
• Lead and support CIP validations and central quality investigations.
• Provide technical advice and support to manufacturing, engineering, and technical management.
• Conduct site focus audits and create central quality standards.
• Develop and deliver training in CIP, Process Technology, and Dairy Science.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a food technical environment.
• Specialist qualification relevant to the role or equivalent vocational experience.
• Level 3 HACCP and Food Hygiene certification.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food chemistry and microbiology.
• Strong business and commercial awareness.
• Excellent planning, organising, and project management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in continuous improvement techniques and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and manage multiple tasks effectively.
