Shift QC Leader Role overview:

Opportunity to join the Quality team in a fast paced environment on a 4 on 4 (days & nights) shift pattern in the Analytical Lab, as a Shift QC Leader.

 

  • Leading a small team of two Technicians
  • Carrying out chemistry analysis of samples from Raw materials through to Finished Goods.
  • Work Cross-functionally with Production/ Process departments when out of spec results are encountered, and leading Quality investigations/ Root cause analysis
  • Positive release of finished goods at third party logistics
  • Isolation of sub-standard materials/ finished goods to ensure only the highest Quality product enters the consumer market, closing the loop from hold/ isolation through to disposal/ release
  • Conduct GMP audits of all areas, coaching Operations on standards
  • Ensuring all required information is entered onto SAP/ on paperwork, and filed to satisfy CLAS standards
  • Conduct bench-practice internal audits, to meet CLAS requirements
  • Perform Lab admin and housekeeping duties, including pipette and pH meter calibrations as required
  • Conduct regular 121’s, building and driving development plans for direct reports, and managing any performance issues that arise.
  • Working to carry out the tasks allocated by the Shift QC Leader on a daily basis
  • Aids in the validation and verification of new methods used within the laboratories

 

The ideal Candidate:

Preferable previous experience leading a small team, with prior laboratory experience in either food Chemistry or Microbiology
Team player with the ability to make decisions based on data
Able to communicate and influence at all levels
Able to work at a fast pace, and prioritise workload
Attention to detail and ability to follow written procedure

Basic computer skills
