We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join our friendly team at Telford. We are looking for an experienced individual to provide management of the Payroll Function for both the Muller & Culina businesses, ensuring the service provided is aligned to the differing business requirements at all times, always ensuring full statutory and corporate policy compliance, with a high level of customer service.

 

In this role the key responsibilities will include:
• Management of the Payroll team, including disciplinary, performance management, performance reviews and development plans, absence management, holiday authorisation.
• The delivery of a high-quality end to end payroll service for two businesses with differing requirements & T&C's: Muller – 14 payrolls (circa 8,200 employees) Culina – 9 payrolls (circa 3,500 employees)
• Management of the corporate Time & Attendance systems for the Muller & Culina businesses, ensuring configuration supports the differing T&C requirements and supplies accurate payroll and Management Info data - across all current 12 T&A solutions
• Ensure that the fully integrated HR & Payroll system, for both Muller & Culina businesses are managed/configured to ensure full compliance with UK statutory payroll requirements, all Muller and Culina T&C's requirements and business processes.
• Initiate and participate in business initiatives which ensure continued statutory compliance and/or the delivery of the standard of service expected from an employer of choice.
• Provide advice and support in all associated Payroll, Car Fleet Taxation, all other flex/BIK benefits, Pension scheme administration aspects to customers at all levels, both internal and external.
• Delivery of weekly & monthly payroll service, to required schedule and quality.
• Full statutory and corporate compliance in all required Payroll.

 

Key skills & experience
• Formal Payroll Management Qualification – or minimum 5 years industry experience at required level.
• Leadership/People Management
• Up to date UK & Irish Payroll legislation.
• ResourceLink/Kronos/Horizon System Admin - plus all other business T&A solutions.
• DVLA / Vehicle Legislation Requirements.
• Company people policies / procedures (both Muller & Culina).
• Flexibility, resilience & persistence with a keen desire to support change & drive improvement
• Interpersonal skills (strong written & verbal communication skills)
• Strong understanding and ability to demonstrate and deliver to business values
