What you'll be doing: 

Müller is looking to offer talented placement students the opportunity to join our Commercial Team as a National Account Executive, within the Brand Team and a Customer Brand Executive in the Private Label Team.  If you’re passionate about building strong relationships, driving business growth, and working with some of the most-loved products in the UK, this role could be perfect for you.   

We have two exciting placements available within our Commercial Team:  

1. Branded Team: Focused on delivering growth for Müller’s iconic Yogurt and Desserts (MYD) brands 

2. Private Label Team: Supporting the expansion of Müller’s Private Label business with key national retailers 

Key tasks & responsibilities include:

Commercial Placement - Private Label Team 

In this role, you’ll help expand our Private Label business by identifying customer growth opportunities and building strong relationships to support the delivery of private label projects, from concept to launch. You’ll use data and insights to position Müller as the preferred dairy partner for national retailers. 

• Commercial Strategy Development: Support in shaping our future commercial strategy by helping to create compelling business cases.  

• Data-Driven Insights: Analyse data to unlock business investment and growth opportunities. 

• Competitor Analysis: Analyse competitors and create compelling reasons for Müller to win against them in the areas of price, product, sustainability and capability. 

• Internal Reporting: Support business planning with reports and pricing trackers. 

• Project Delivery: Assist in the delivery of Private Label projects by maintaining project plans, tracking critical paths and coordinating cross-functional actions.  

• Collaborative Group Projects: Work alongside other placement students on a group project, enhancing teamwork and problem-solving skills. 

What we're looking for:

This is a fantastic opportunity for students who are enthusiastic about sales, business development, and building strong relationships. While we encourage those aiming for a 2:1 or above to apply, we also value diverse experiences, skills, and potential beyond academic grades. 

• Clear and respectful communication skills: Both written and verbal. The ability to express ideas effectively, listen actively, and tailor communication to different audiences and contexts. 

• Leadership Experience: Proven leadership abilities, demonstrated through involvement in extracurricular activities 

• Adaptation in dynamic environments:  Ability to adapt and stay focused in dynamic environments, including when working to tight deadlines. 

• Initiative and teamwork: Capability to work independently and collaboratively 

• Organisational skills: Effective time management and high attention to detail  

• Strong numeracy and analytical skills: Making data-driven decisions to solve problems efficiently  

• Technical proficiency: Competence with Microsoft office and digital tools 

• UK Residency: Eligibility to work in the UK (Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship as the salary falls below the required threshold.) 

• UK Driving License: Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least one year
