We are currently recruiting for Supply Operatives (Level 1) to join our friendly team at Severnside.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operation of bottle supply and equipment
  • Effective operating of de-bagging machines (manual & auto) plus Autefa supply
  • Bottle supply conveying and clearing of jams
  • Accurate completion of bottle supply traceability sheets
  • Operation of manual pallet truck handling system
  • Control of both bottle and film waste (baler use)
  • Loading/unloading of trailers for stock movement
  • Completion of load slips for traceability of product
  • Stock storage and bottle damage controls
  • Pack quality inspections for moving to location
  • Reprocess clean bottle waste/rejects through shredder and munch granulator
  • Follow all shut down and start up procedures in full

 

Achievement of H&S, Quality and Hygiene Standards:

  • Full adherence to all H&S policies and procedures and machine operating procedures
  • Follow all relevant Warehouse Safe Systems of Work
  • Carry out all machine safety checks
  • Record and report all H&S, or Quality incidents/accidents inline with process
  • Maintain and drive hygiene and housekeeping standards - Grade A self audit
  • Accurate completion of documentation/records or log books
  • Safe use of de-bagging knife control procedure
  • Ensure full compliance to site accreditation standards for allocated area
  • Follow emergency stop and evacuation procedures

 

Support of Bottle Supply and stock movements:

  • Basic de-bag and Autefa supply fault finding, conveying set ups to reduce jams
  • Escalation of issues to prevent excessive supply downtime
  • Loading trailers to bottle configurations
  • Bottle identification and storage in allocated areas

 

Work priorities:

  • Meet all output requirements as determined by Shift Manager
  • Operate all equipment safety, achieving required quality standards
  • Drive machine performance to reduce waste costs
  • Be customer focussed at all times (internal colleagues and external)
  • Assist colleagues with basic problem solving
  • Adapt to changing priorities
  • Ensure work area is maintained clean and tidy and perform advanced site cleaning duties
