Are you an experienced operations professional with a passion for leading teams and delivering results?

We're looking for a Shift Leader to join our fast-paced distribution operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious leader who thrives in a challenging environment and enjoys motivating teams to deliver outstanding customer service, operational excellence, and high safety standards. The role involves leading operational teams, supporting warehouse and transport activities, managing day-to-day issues, and ensuring the smooth running of the operation throughout your shift. 

What you'll be doing

As a Shift Leader, you'll play a key role in ensuring our operation runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting operational teams across the depot.
• Ensuring vehicles are loaded and dispatched safely, accurately and on time.
• Supporting warehouse and transport functions to maintain service levels.
• Managing operational challenges and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supporting attendance, rota management and resource planning.
• Championing Health & Safety and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Delivering excellent customer service through effective operational management.
• Coaching and developing colleagues to achieve high performance.

What we're looking for

We're interested in hearing from candidates who have:

• Previous experience in a transport, warehouse, logistics or FMCG environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• The ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, time-critical operation.
• Experience managing performance, attendance and operational priorities.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and service.
