Unit MPS and Technology Expert
Location: Market Drayton (MYD Business Unit)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
About the Role
We’re looking for a Unit MPS and Technology Expert to lead and embed the Müller Production System (MPS) within our operations. This role combines Lean manufacturing expertise with technical process knowledge, ensuring our unit achieves world-class standards in efficiency, quality, and reliability.
What You’ll Do
- Coach and train the unit team – from managers to operators – on the Müller Production System and Operational Excellence methodology.
- Develop and deliver an OpEx roadmap, driving continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
- Conduct assessments and prepare the unit for external maturity audits.
- Analyse performance data (OEE, waste, material losses) and implement strategies to reduce losses.
- Act as the technical expert for dairy processes, improving process reliability and solving chronic issues.
- Define and monitor critical process parameters and centrelines to ensure stability and quality.
- Support new product development and commissioning of new lines.
- Mentor shop-floor experts to embed a culture of Operational Excellence.
About You
- Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent (LCS 2A desirable).
- Strong experience in Operational Excellence, TPM, and leading change.
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills with resilience and adaptability.
- Proven ability to influence and develop teams at all levels.
