Sales Finance Business Partner

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Finance Business Partner to join our friendly team based in Market Drayton, in a hybrid working model, to act as a key business partner to the sales team providing day to day strategic financial and commercial decision support on a planning cycle basis for customer base.

 

Further responsibilities include M cycle support and month end review. The successful candidate will also will be required to support the Financial Controller when required, including system and processes and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Business partner key Account Sales Controller and Teams:-

 

  • Providing financial and commercial decision support and insight to drive the business forward in these areas.
  • Covering convenience, discounter, Co-op and out of home
  • Management of customer P&Ls
  • Evaluation and development of individual customer business plans.
  • Input into the sales business review process
  • Pre and Post promo evaluation reviews
  • Support in terms of resolving debt issues
  • Dealing with day to day queries from your key accounts
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as and when required
  • Working closely on JBPs, attending external customer meetings
  • Go Compliance – ensure financial commitments from pre-evaluated and pre-approved in line with company’s compliance policy.
  • Building strong relationships across the commercial teams to ensure involvement in decisions upfront.
  • To remain accurate in a fast paced commercial environment whilst remaining pragmatic in judgment of materiality
  • Being able to take a holistic view across the commercial sphere to ensure decisions are appropriate.

 

M Cycle Support:-

 

  • Controlling support in M cycle process working closely with Sales Controller and teams
  • Sales business review and pre meeting attended providing support and analysis to feed into presentation
  • Reviewing, analysing and challenging Risk and opportunities and commercial forecast
  • Analysing monthly financial forecast to provide insight into key changes by customer and brand, explaining variances vs previous forecast, budget and prior year results.

 

Lead the Commercial Month end process for Customer base:-

 

  • Reconciliation of customer NSV
  • Analysis of performance vs forecast and prior year
  • Preparation of required journal postings
  • Month End Day 5/6/7 preparation and reporting
  • Provide commentary on key drivers of performance for customer base

 

Lead the Commercial planning process for Customer base:-

 

  • On an annualised basis (July – September) lead the commercial teams business unit area through the commercial budgeting process ensuring robust plans are developed which meet the issued top down targets.
