The Opportunity 

We are offering two 13-month finance placement opportunities within our Yogurts & Desserts (MYD) division: 

1. Commercial Finance Placement – Brand & Private Label 

2. Operational Finance Placement – Multi-site 

Both Placements provide a comprehensive introduction to finance business partnering, working across multiple departments and sites, while contributing to the growth of our business. It’s an ideal opportunity to gain exposure to a range of financial activities while contributing to business growth 

Roles available 

1. Commercial Finance Placement (MYD) – Brand & Private Label 

• Support month-end management accounts, taking ownership of specific processes and assisting with commentary on customer performance. 

• Contribute to forecasting & budgeting, helping to refine and review financial plans. 

• Enhance reporting tools to ensure accuracy and usability for various stakeholders. 

• Provide pricing support, updating mechanisms in line with commodity price changes. 

• Assist in business case preparation and tender analysis. 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust data and ad-hoc reporting. 

• Deliver customer insights and analysis to support decision-making. 

• Work on group projects with other placement students. 

2. Operational Finance Placement (MYD) – Multi-site 

• Support month-end processes, ensuring accurate P&L reporting. 

• Partner with the site operational teams to create forecasts and budgets. 

• Provide insights and analysis for decision-making, including contributing to KPI analysis 

• Improve reporting tools for clarity and relevance. 

• Assist with cost-base performance commentary alongside the Operations Business Partner. 

• Contribute to group projects with other placement students. 

What we're looking for:

We want analytical, numerically minded university students who are proactive, hard-working, curious and eager to learn. You should be:

•  On track for a 2:1 or above in your degree  

• A confident communicator, able to challenge and influence at all levels 

• Strong in numeracy and analysis, with an aptitude for financial modelling 

• Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities 

• A collaborative team player who can also work independently 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools 

• Holder of a full UK driving license for a minimum of one year 

• Eligible to work in the UK (Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship as the salary falls below the required threshold)
