With a starting date of August 2026, the apprenticeship will see you gain experience through working across all 3 sites in order to gain a broad experience of the processes and equipment that you will ultimately be working on. We’ll provide you with all the support you need to be the best you can be. We'll give you training, invest in your skills and offer you the next rung on your career ladder. Key Responsibilities of an Engineer:

• Assisting with maintenance tasks of plant and equipment as part of a site focused team.
• Assist with routine inspections of equipment and tools.
• Supporting delivery of key Operations / Engineering initiatives aimed at Improving downtime, line/factory efficiency and maintenance expenditure..
• Assist in the delivery of Quality Critical PM and HACCP schedules.
• Experience working in all areas of the Engineering/Production department.
• Attending meetings, briefings and shift handovers.
• Development of Maintenance Best Practice.

What we can do for you?

At the end of the apprenticeship you will receive a nationally recognized qualification and start your career based at any one of the Shropshire sites.

We are partnered with a local provider for this Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme but there is the real possibility for further progression onto Higher Education including HNC, HND and up to degree level with a number of other local colleges and Universities.

What you will need?

• GCSE English & Math’s at grade C (level 5) or above.
• Able to demonstrate a clear passion for Engineering.
• Must not be engaged in other full time education
• Must be living in the UK
• Must be over 16 years of age

What to expect?

• 4 year programme
• Hours: A full time role of 40 hours / week with potential to experience shift working, so flexibility is key.
• Pay: £19,000 salary, with yearly increases
