Title:  EDI Interface Developer

We are currently recruiting for an EDI Interface Developer, working for Muller Services Limited. As part of a team responsible for the Culina Group’s IT, the successful candidate will be responsible for EDI related development requests and queries, for all Culina Group business units. We are looking for a candidate with a strong EDI development background who has excellent communications skills, self-discipline and self-motivation.


The role would suit a recent Graduate with an IT related degree.


Key responsibilities include:
• In house developer / EDI specialist of both A2A and B2B interfaces
• Provide 3rd line support to the business where required
• Work with internal colleagues and external suppliers to deliver high quality, robust solutions.
• Design, development and implementation of EDI interfaces, including testing and documentation.
• Provide Development lead for EDI development projects, supporting the business throughout the project lifecycle from planning through to implementation.
• Developing / delivering solution in line with client implementation timescales. Often within larger project plan.
• Assistance during test phases of development supporting both internal colleagues and external clients to ensure successful completion of UAT testing prior to implementation.
• Creation and maintenance of support documentation to enable efficient handover of new interfaces to support functions including training where required.
• Proactive time management required and adherence to project management procedures often managing multiple projects concurrently
• Support / “Business as usual”
o Provide 3rd line support where required. When issue cannot be resolved by both 1st Line (Service Desk) and 2nd Line (Applications Support)
o Provide 3rd line technical support for user and client queries debugging mappings / processes where necessary.
o Execution of DR plans where required including DR tests.
o Perform minor amendments due to client changes (I.e. Certificate changes)
• Adherence to IT policies and procedures.


The Person
• Degree level qualification in Computer Science or equivalent essential.
• This position would suit an IT graduate with a desire to begin their career in Integration and EDI Development with a fast paced and rapidly growing IT Department.
• Excellent communication skills essential as is the ability to communicate clearly with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Structured way of working and methodical, collaborative approach.
• Appreciation of project management procedures.
