We are currently looking to recruit for a Laboratory Team Leader to join our Manchester Dairy within our Müller Milk & Ingredients business. This successful candidate will strive to enable the team to deliver quality targets and continuously improve quality performance by coaching and developing the Müller Laboratory team.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Provides expertise through chemical & Microbiological technical know how.
  • Strong influencing and communication capability.
  • Uses leadership competencies to guide, motivate and develop the team.
  • Acts as a coach and mentor for team and others across site.
  • Advanced problem solving facilitation skills using various methodologies.
  • Acts as a role model to the team and drives performance management systems.
  • Responsible for laboratory budget, management and other quality mangagment system duties.
  • Create purpose and direction around objectives, goals, strategy and measures.
  • Coaching front line team members, enabling them to solve problems.
  • Supports and confirms operations quality control responsibilities.
  • Responsible for development of direct team.

Demonstrable skills, experience and knowledge within the following:

 

  • HACCP Award - Level 3
  • Basic Food Hygiene
  • Microbiology and Aseptic techniques
  • Internal Audit
  • Advanced problem solving skills
  • Fit for Leadership
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
  • Electronic Data Capture
  • Report writing
  • Dairy Science
