We are currently recruiting for a Senior National Account Manager on a home based contract, with travel to sites as and when needed.

 

As a Senior National Account Manager, you will deliver company budgeted volume and profit targets for a major customer channel, create market leading and winning customer relationship management and also develop & implement strategic customer plans. The successful candidate will be a leader that develops direct reports and themselves for future moves in management levels.

 

Your challenge

 

  • Support the delivery of key commercial targets as defined by the annual budget process
  • Lead the strategic planning  process at Customer level across multiple categories
  • Engage internal stakeholders at board level to commercial customer agenda
  • Support the BU Head  to help shape the commercial strategy and delivery of the functional goals.
  • Lead & develop internal account management meetings through the account team i.e. Customer Activation meeting
  • Lead the Cross functional team to achieve agreed customer objectives
  • Negotiation and delivery of annual business plans with key customers
  • Development of "Longer Term" sustainable growth plans (out with annual JBP's) with Key Customers to win profitably
  • Build and maintain winning customer relationships (measured through Advantage Survey, where available)
  • Embed a high performance culture within the Business Unit through effective coaching, development and performance management of people
  • Take responsibility to manage and oversee cross functional customer projects / allocated internal projects - start to finish
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of key profitability measures for customers - supporting monthly Business reviews with required detail
  • Manage the SOP volume and financial forecast within company targets
     

Key skills & experience

 

  • Essential: People Management / Leadership of a minimum of 3 years
  • Working within an External Sales environment, ideally within FMCG with Private label experience
  • Communication & Influencing skills

  • PC literate (Excel & Powerpoint)
  • Accuracy
  • Selling & Negotiation Skills
  • Analytical Skills
  • Presentation Skills
  • Full UK driving license
