Müller Milk & Ingredients aims to be Britain’s private label dairy leader and produces branded and private label fresh milk, cream, butter and ingredients products. It boasts a network of dairies and depots servicing customers throughout the country.

 

We have a unique oppportunity for a  Commercial Executive to work as a Commercial Vendor Manager Implant within our Commercial Team for Marks and Spencer.  Whilst the role is home based, there will be a requirement to spend time each week with the Marks and Spencer team at their offices in London (Paddington), collaboratively working alongside both MMI and M&S commercial, category, demand planning, supply chain, finance and natural work teams, to support in delivery of strategic objectives across both businesses to encourage and drive alignment.

 

Key Responsibilities - Commercial Executive (Customer Vendor Manager Implant):

  • Drive sales and profitability through granular focus of product ranging, demand and performance. Deliver insight into M&S senior team priorities and potential opportunities for MMI in line with these
  • Ensure range effectiveness across all performance metrics - sales, waste, availability, profitability. Proactively work to reduce waste and improve product availability in line with category standards
  • Drive optimal ranging and distribution
  • Performance analysis to include product, events, promotions, NPD
  • Work alongside MMI Commercial team to form and execute the Joint Business Plan aligned to MMI and M&S strategy. Provide timely updates to both M&S and MMI, support and drive the agenda at cross functional meetings. Clearly identify and quantify opportunities and risks. Model and propose opportunities to drive profitable sales and demonstrate the net benefit to each business
  • Deliver wider business projects in line with strategy as determined by the Business Unit Head 

 

Key Skills and Experience - Commercial Executive (Commercial Vendor Manager Implant)

  • IT competent in all M&S programmes desirable, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Highly numerate and analytical with exceptional attention to detail
  • Commercial experience and acumen with high degree of customer focus
  • Proactive with problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong communication skills to act as a conduit between both businesses
  • Retailer experience (ideally M&S although this is not essential)
