We are currently recruiting for Commercial Business Unit Heads ideally based within a commutable distance to our site in Droitwich.

 

As a Commercial Business Unit Head, you will lead, build and own the P&L for a large, high-profile customer account, and continually drive a tangible value-based agenda for both the customer/s and the business,  delivering the targeted financial results and shaping and supporting delivery of the wider Muller Milk & Ingredients commercial strategy.

 

 

Your challenge

 

  • Delivery of key commercial targets as defined by the annual budget process.
  • Embed a high performance culture within the BU through effective coaching, development and performance management of people.
  • As part of the Commercial Leadership Team (CLT) help shape the overall commercial strategy and support delivery of the functional goals.
  • Translation of the commercial functional group targets into a strategic growth plan for the customer channel.
  • To develop a longer term category and commercial growth plan for the channel to drive sustainable, profitable volume growth and customer metrics.
  • Build and maintain winning customer relationships 
  • Lead cross-functional virtual teams to engage customers on commercial, logistics, agriculture, technical, and consumer, shopper, product and category developments.
     

Key skills & experience

 

  • Proven commercial leader with +3 year’s successful track record operating at senior levels in reputable FMCG businesses.
  • History of developing winning strategic partnerships with major UK retailers.
  • Experience leading large scale, complex commercial negotiations with major UK retailers.
  • Track record of building high performing commercial and wider ‘virtual’ cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to influence at board level internally and externally.
  • Preferably own label commercial experience.
  • Experienced and skilled in managing commodity linked, contract priced supply agreements with major UK retailers
  • Dairy category experience and knowledge and knowledge is essential including agriculture agenda, supply/demand factors, commodity and forex trends
  • Experience and knowledge of direct-to-store and RDC supply chain networks, and their cost-to-serve modelling
