We are recruiting for our next intake of Engineering apprentices for our Müller Milk and Ingredients business, with a starting date of September 2021.   Apprentices will be based at either Droitwich or Manchester with blocks of residential college based learning taking place.

Your challenge

 In this role the key responsibilities will include:


  • Pre-production planning to support in developing and controlling the production of raw materials into finished products, whilst monitoring production costs.
  • Asset Management: oversee maintenance of Manufacturing machinery and manage process, filling/packing, and cleaning plant operations in accordance with procedures and Health & Safety.
  • Involvement in and leading on Continuous Improvement projects, project management and tests and trial activities
  • Lead fault finding and timely corrective action in line with food safety standards.
  • Strive to achieve the highest quality product, highlighting any concerns and ensuring products and volumes are in accordance with specifications and targets

Key skills & experience:

  • GCSE English & Maths at grade C (level 4) or equivalent
  • GCSE in science at grade C (level 4) or equivalent would be desirable but not essential
  • Able to demonstrate a clear passion for Engineering
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • The ability to analyse problems and suggest improvements/solutions
  • Able to take a proactive approach
  • Ability to take ownership of own work
  • Demonstrates a self-motivated and proactive approach to work and studies
  • Able to demonstrate good team working skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
