We are recruiting at our Bristol Depot (BS11 0YW) for Warehouse Operatives

 

The purpose of the role is to manually pack milk into trolleys, move trolleys and empty trolleys across the chill, working in a fast paced environment whilst maintaining knowledge of products and processes involved in the day to day delivery of goods.

 

Contract – Full Time / Permanent

Location  - Bristol Depot (BS11 0YW)

Shifts – 5 days over 7 days – inclusive of weekends (6am – 2.30pm)

 

Rate of Pay - £13. 17 (plus below premiums)

Premium Pay rates:

Overtime paid at x1.5 basic rate

Saturday paid at x1.25 basic rate, Sunday paid at 1.5 basic rate

Additional 23% uplift of base rate for unsociable hours worked between 6PM – 4AM

Customary/Public Holidays paid at X2 

 

Warehouse Operative Role & Responsibilities

  • Operating chill trolley packers and chill shrinkwrappers.
  • Loading / unloading inbound and outbound vehicles.
  • Stock rotation.
  • Date code checking.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Risk assessments and basic PMS.
  • Consistent quality control inspection and awareness, assuring customer expectations and product standards are maintained.
  • Maintain hygiene and environmental standards – Clean as you go.
  • Operate equipment and processes effectively, delivering the required output relative to the role.
  • Replenish materials as required.
  • Deliver and support the training of colleagues on job related tasks.
  • Effectively communicate to individuals within and outside of department.
  • Undertake any other duties; in keeping with the nature of the role as requested.

 

Warehouse Operative Key skills & experience

  • Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable (voice picking)
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy skills
  • A positive thinking and self-motivated individual
  • An effective team member who works well on their own initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work
