Engineering Stores Lead

Location: Bridgwater Dairy
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

We’re currently recruiting for an Engineering Stores Lead to join our team at our Bridgwater Dairy. This is a key role within our site engineering function, ideal for someone with experience in high-volume, complex environments who thrives on challenge and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Engineering Stores Lead, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our engineering stores operate efficiently, accurately, and cost-effectively. You’ll play a vital role in supporting maintenance performance and driving inventory optimisation.

Key Tasks:

• Deliver the inventory management plan
• Generate BOM service packs for planned activities
• Track and report stores performance
• Optimise engineering spare parts holding
• Manage engineering materials location via CMMS
• Act as key system user for materials, codes, suppliers, pricing, and training
• Own and lead the 5S system for engineering stores
• Manage supplier delivery performance against expectations
• Develop inventory improvement techniques
• Support reliability-centred maintenance and FMECA activities

Your Responsibilities

• Support improvement activities and events within engineering stores
• Seek out cost-effective and efficient inventory solutions
• Contribute to site improvement projects within budget
• Review planned maintenance activities to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Encourage engineering-based OE projects
• Understand and influence site/business OGSM outcomes
• Deliver on-the-job training to new colleagues
• Ensure health and safety for self and others

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with 5S and SSOW principles
• Experience using CMMS and ERP systems
