We are currently looking to recruit for Warehouse Operatives to join our Chill Department at our Glasgow Dairy within our Müller Milk & Ingredients business.

 

The successful candidates will strive to process the most effective and safe way to produce the best quality finished product whilst working to continuously improve in line with the Müller values.   

 

Contract: Full Time/Permanent 

Salary: £12.86 per hour

Shift: 5 days over 7 including weekends

Day Shift 6am – 14:30pm / Backshift – 14:30pm to finish - Rotating

Location:  Bellshill Dairy – ML4 3NY

Please note this role requires you to work within a chilled environment approximately 2 degrees – Company uniform will be provided. 

Responsibilities

  • Manually pack product into trolleys, ensuring the product is fit for purpose and highlighting any non-conformance
  • Transport full and empty trolleys across the chill
  • Operate and complete asset care/deep cleaning on equipment
  • Ensures good manufacturing, housekeeping, hygiene, and health and safety standards throughout their shift
  • Part of an effective hand over between shifts, remaining within the chill until a relief takes over
  • Completes all documentation, ensuring they up to date and available
  • Leads by example encouraging appropriate behavioural safety and technical standards in support of company values and culture
  • Able to carry out tasks requested by both, coordinators and team leaders

 

Muller Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene
  • Comply with food safety requirements and adhere to site quality procedures
  • Maintaining chill standards whilst looking to constantly improve
  • Take reasonable care for the health, safety and welfare of themselves and others that may be affected by their acts or omissions
  • Cooperate with the company, so far as is necessary, to enable the company to perform or comply with any required or imposed duties imposed under relevant statutory provision
  • Actively promote and comply with all company policies, procedures and values

 

Demonstrable skills, experience and knowledge within the following:

  • Previous manual packing work desirable, though not necessary
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Capability and accountability
  • A flexible approach, able to adapt to changing daily production plans
  • A good listener/communicator
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and prioritisation skills
  • Effective team worker
