We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join our Milk Department at our Glasgow site to work as part of a team and operate equipment whilst coordinating with other task areas. The role will involve the setup, monitoring and adjusting inter-related controls as the work progresses to regulate a number of variables to maintain specification. The successful candidate will monitor the product and this will include making regular quality checks/tests and recording results. You will also need to be flexible, have a strong team working ethic and be results driven.


In this role the key responsibilities will include:

  • Operate our machinery and processes effectively, delivering the daily production requirement.
  • Responsibility to adhere to all relevant systems and procedures in place for QHSE.
  • Maintain hygiene standards within the workplace as per S.O.P’s and maintain the “clean as you go” policy.
  • Work under the direction of Shift leaders on day to day operation.
  • Ensure that the P.M.S processes are carried out and maintained.
  • Quality control inspection including weights & measures, assuring customer C.O.P are maintained
  • Materials used in production process are replenishment as required
  • Asset Care maintenance checks
  • Has an active role to play in continuously improving our business
  • To be an active part of small teams with OE objectives
  • To have opportunities to deliver own ideas to improve our business
  • Understands the impact of own actions and others on achieving site/business OGSM
  • Aware of how current performance impacts the bottom line
  • Health and safety of self and others
  • Ability to deliver on the job training (show and tell) to new colleagues
  • Report all faults, defects and issues that may occur during the production process to an F.R.T/Shift Leaders.


      Key skills & experience:

  • Basic Health and Safety and food hygiene.
  • Basic IT skills to support Microsoft office packages and bespoke systems in-house
  • Problem solving skills.
  • A good level of numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Previous experience within product and materials.
