HGV Driver Trainer – Join Our Team

Location: Bells Hill Glasgow (ML4 3NY)

Salary: 16.63ph - £28.50ph plus £40 weekly allowance

Shift Pattern – 5 days out of 7.

Must be flexible in line with business needs

Are you passionate about developing drivers, improving road safety, and making a real impact every day? We’re looking for a dedicated HGV Driver Trainer to support and develop our LGV drivers across the business.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong communicator with hands‑on driver training experience
• Confident delivering both practical and classroom‑based training
• Excellent knowledge of EU and RTWTD regulations
• Experience using digital tachographs and compliance systems
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an LGV C+E driver

Essential:

• LGV C+E licence
• Driver CPC
• Experience delivering driver training

Desirable:

• NRI (RTITB) DCPC qualification
• IOSH or First Aid
• Experience with telematics (Connexus/Tachomaster)

What you’ll do:

• Deliver engaging driver training and development
• Support DCPC training and new driver inductions
• Promote safe and fuel‑efficient driving
• Carry out driver assessments and post‑incident training
• Help improve driver performance using KPIs and telematics
• Work closely with Transport and Compliance teams to ensure best practice
