We are recruiting Dairy Operations Apprentices!

This is an exciting opportunity to join Müller Milk & Ingredients at our Bellshill site in an apprenticeship role as a Dairy Operator. We have ambitious plans in place to grow our business and transform the dairy industry. To meet those goals, we need people who can grow with us.
You will study towards a recognised qualification, earn a good salary, develop new skills, and gain invaluable experience. We aim to empower our employees to be the best they can be – at Müller the sky’s the limit.
This Apprenticeship combines technical training, academic study, and work-based learning, and covers all the fundamental topics you need to know, such as:
- Health & Safety in Food Manufacturing
- Food Safety Standards in Manufacturing
- Problem Solving, Communication Skills & Working with Others
In the first year of your apprenticeship you will spend time in the Chill, Laboratory, Process and Filling Hall functions to gain knowledge of how each department works and the roles that are required to ensure these departments run smoothly. As you move into Year 2 of your apprenticeship, you will be based within the Filling Hall, or Despatch department in readiness for an exit role into the business.
This programme is delivered in partnership with our training provider, National Food & Drink Training (NFDT) , where you’ll spend block weeks throughout the 2 years, before returning to site to embed your learning with our team of experts, whilst continuing to work with our training provider partner to complete your apprenticeship.

What to expect?
At the end of the Apprenticeship programme, you will gain the following qualifications:
- SCQF Level 6 qualification in Food & Drink Operations
There is progressional routes within the business for the candidates who show a willingness to learn.
You will also benefit from:
- An annual salary of £19,000 with structured increases yearly
- A full time role of 40 hours per week
