We are looking for you in Aretsried, Freising, Leppersdorf or Luxemburg as Head of Strategic Growth & Commercial Excellence (m/f/d).
Your role
In this role within Group Marketing you will steer global brand building, unlock strategic growth opportunities, drive commercial excellence and empower local teams with the tools and frameworks they need to win. The scope and content of the role can be adapted flexibly based on experience and strengths.
- Insights and Analytics Leadership: Your responsibilities include leading the global Consumer Insights & Analytics agenda by integrating consumer, shopper, and market data, turning insights into clear strategic direction, and ensuring strong vendor partnerships that deliver rigorous, actionable outputs.
- Brand Strategy and Governance: You shape global brand strategy by building future growth platforms, guiding innovation pipelines, defining brand architecture, and ensuring consistent adoption of global brand guidelines.
- Commercial Excellence Standards: You drive Commercial Excellence by establishing best‑practice marketing standards, steering digital and retail media excellence, shaping cross‑BU pricing and RGM capabilities, equipping local teams with strategic sell‑in tools, and institutionalizing post‑launch reviews to enable continuous organizational learning.
- Matrix Collaboration and Stakeholder Influence: You drive matrix collaboration with Country Marketing Directors and General Managers by aligning brand strategies across markets, facilitating cross‑market governance forums, and building trust through transparency, empathy, and co‑creation.
- Performance Management and Financial Impact: You strengthen performance and financial impact by defining KPI dashboards, ensuring budget discipline with local teams, and leading regular brand performance reviews to identify growth levers and corrective actions.
- Corporate Strategy and Representation: You support the group’s M&A agenda with strategic input and represent the company in marketing‑related topics to external stakeholders.
Your qualifications
- You bring a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and have 10+ years of Brand Management/Marketing experience in FMCG/CPG, including significant multi‑country or regional leadership exposure.
- A proven track record in brand building, portfolio and innovation management, and campaign excellence with measurable business impact is essential, supported by strong expertise in Consumer Insights such as brand tracking, panels, and shopper insights.
- You apply a solid understanding of Commercial/Sales execution - especially pricing strategy and RGM - and use analytical rigor to convert complex data into actionable decisions.
- Deep knowledge of media, digital ecosystems, e‑commerce activation, and shopper marketing is required, along with strong creative and media judgment to elevate creative quality and channel impact.
- You communicate with exceptional clarity, storytelling ability, and executive presentation skills in fluent English. German skills are a strong advantage.
- Leading change and capability building in matrix organizations comes naturally to you, supported by a consumer‑first mindset, strategic and system thinking, and a strong results orientation.
