We are currently making over 1.2 million deliveries every week and in these challenging times, our customers are relying on us now more than ever. As a business we need to continue to do our part in #feedthenation, delivering over 200 essential products overnight to customers doorsteps by 7am.


We are looking to recruit a Project Assistant on a 4 month fixed term contract commencing May 2021. In this role you will work alongside the existing project team to implement and roll out new technical software, to modernise the supply chain system. The new system and processes will simplify the way the business operates and support the growth aspirations.


As a Project Assistant you will work closely with the operational teams within the fulfilment centres by providing training and support across two major supply chain components, stock management and outbound logistics - deliveries to B2B and B2C customers.


The role is field based with travel expected to the relevant centres, therefore mobility is an essential requirement of the role along with evening/night and weekend working. You will be expected to be away from home for the days you will be providing training on site.


This role will require working 10 days on and 4 days off, carrying out training to the operations team on a Tuesday and being available to support the roll out until the following Thursday.

You will be responsible for:


  • Training the operational personal on site
  • Support the centre during the transition to the new systems and provide hyper care support
  • Provide training to the Fulfilment Centre management team, stock controllers and drivers on new web based and mobile applications  
  • Manage and support the stock controllers and drivers to transition to the new systems and process over the go-live weekend
  • Acting as the main point of contact to help resolve any stock control or driver related queries during the go-live weekend and hyper care support period (1-2 weeks after go-live)
  • Providing recommendations to improve the training process and/or documentation


Key Skills & Experience:


  • Ability to work as an effective team member with common objectives
  • Good presentation skills with a high competency of MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and gain trust and respect quickly
  • Ability to understand IT end user systems and to be able to present / teach those systems to other people who may not be as technically astute
  • A self-starter with the ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal. You will to be able to accurately articulate issues, escalations and training during critical times
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Excel


Hours, Salary & Company Benefits:

  • Salary of up to £22,750 per annum
  • Monthly paid
  • 25 days annual leave
